Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and passionate Design Intern to join our architecture studio. As a Design Intern, you will support our team in a variety of architectural design tasks, assisting with both the creative and technical aspects of projects. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in an architectural studio environment, where you will work closely with senior architects and designers, gaining exposure to the design and development process from concept to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the creation of design concepts, sketches, and presentations for various projects.
- Help develop architectural drawings, including floor plans, sections, elevations, and details using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other design software.
- Contribute to the preparation of 3D models and renderings for client presentations and project development.
- Conduct research on materials, building codes, regulations, and design precedents relevant to ongoing projects.
- Support the team in site analysis, feasibility studies, and space planning.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of project documentation, ensuring consistency and organization.
- Help with model-making, both physical and digital, to assist in design development and presentation.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and client discussions, providing input and feedback when appropriate.
- Attend site visits with senior architects to monitor project progress and gather field information.
- Assist in producing mood boards, material palettes, and design presentations.
- Provide general administrative support to the architecture team as needed.
